Café Lente

Café Lente is an installation / performance. We create a sensuous cafe in an empty shop/premises in the vicinity of the street festival / event and import, through digital media images and sounds that refer to the culture of cafes and where relevant to the sights and sounds of the event / festival ... Waiters help create this very different atmosphere from the hubbub and speed of daily life. The cafe is explored and enjoyed by the public throughout the day.

Museum of Modern Mundanity

Installation / Site specific

A museum, which celebrates the epic in the domestic, the universal in the banal and the archetypal in the ashtray.
A series of exhibits with full notation owned by the Family Outing.
This private collection has kindly been lent to the nation (to avoid income tax) by this distinguished family who will personally organise tours to view their family heirlooms and explain how they were acquired, what they mean to the family and why they will never be sold to overseas art dealers in order to finance a new washing machine.

Roots Routes Roots

The artists travel across the landscape building a living memory from images, sounds and experiences. An installation is built, which recalls and celebrates a sense of place, time and identity.
Personal accounts of events retold by local people, found objects, sounds and images of the contemporary landscape.
An interactive web site becomes part of the performance installation. This experience / process can be recreated with other interested communities.

Commissioned and funded by
Sedgemoor Council / The Millennium Trust.
